We kicked off the school year with an unforgettable 9th Grade Picnic—full of energy, smiles, and Panther pride! It was a joy to see our newest students connecting and celebrating the start of their high school journey. We’re thrilled to officially welcome the Class of 2029 to the Panther family!
As we begin this exciting chapter, I want to personally thank you for your continued partnership. When families and schools work together, amazing things happen for our students. Let’s keep that momentum going all year long!

Student drop-off should occur near the crosswalk at one of the two drop-off locations highlighted on the diagram below.
Dropping off prior to these locations slows the entire line and creates backup. It also creates unsafe conditions for students walking into the building without a sidewalk or crosswalk.
Once drivers get to the drop off location please pull to the right so student parkers may pass on the left to get to their assigned spots
Student parkers who use the lot on the left side of the school (when facing the school) should loop all the way around the lot to get to their assigned spot following the traffic pattern

APEX Arts Hi Everyone!
My name is Matthew Beall and I am the new Apex Academic Specialist at Annapolis High School. I’m excited to begin my journey with you all! I have spent the past 12 years working with PVA/Apex Arts; splitting my time between the two middle school programs (Bates and BPMS) so I am very familiar with the program and already know a bunch of the students!
We have a lot of exciting events coming up over the course of the school year with performances and presentations at Annapolis High and Studio 39. Apex + officially begins next week on September 2nd and our fall theater production will be holding auditions this next week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
If you would like more information on the Apex + program, please click here. |

Annapolis High is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, one of three designated IB World High Schools in AACPS. This is a distinction given after rigorous standards for international education are met and regularly monitored by The International Baccalaureate Organization.
Some AHS Stats: The AHS IB Class of 2025 took over 400 IB exams which earned them IB Diplomas, IB Career-related certificates, the Maryland Seal of Biliteracy, college credits, and over $13M in scholarship money.
IB Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) students addressed needs in their local and global communities, through hundreds of IB Personal Projects. They partnered actively with Save Our Trees - an extension of the Watershed Stewards Project to preserve our Quiet Waters Park from invasive plants. Participated in cultural exchange activities promoting global music and artistic traditions from Latin America to Europe, and performed local outreach for communities in need throughout the year.
