Office of School Counseling |
The AACPS Office of School Counseling supports students’ academic success, social-emotional well-being, and future readiness from kindergarten through graduation. During National School Counseling Week in February 2026, we celebrate school counselors and their important role in helping students develop skills to succeed in school and beyond.
School counselors provide age-appropriate support at every level, building social and learning skills in elementary school, guiding personal growth and academic planning in middle school, and supporting graduation, college, and career readiness in high school. Families are encouraged to partner with school counselors and access parent resources through school counseling offices |
