As we enter January, the weather gets colder. They share four (4) key steps to being prepared for any emergency. The 4 steps are:

Make a Plan: Dress in layers, get a flu shot and Covid booster, understand your family, work, and school emergency plans. Learn about the AA county warming centers at senior activity centers, public libraries, and district police stations. Visit www.aacounty.org/warm for more information.
Build a Kit: Consider building a shelter-in-place kit to include items such as water, food (3 day supply), battery powered radio with extra batteries, family first aid kit, and more. To learn more about what to include in a kit visit https://www.ready.gov/kit.
Get Involved: Check on vulnerable neighbors, take a First Aid, CPR/AED, or Stop the Bleed Class, and include family/friends/neighbors in your emergency pl
