What's Up Wednesday

Good Evening, Bodkin Families,

Autumn is a wonderful time for giving, and we are thankful for all of your support.

Harvest for the Hungry:

The 38th annual Harvest for the Hungry drive to benefit the Anne Arundel County Food Bank is now underway. This is the AACFB’s largest food drive of the year and they are counting on our support to help the more than 61,000 people in our county who are facing food insecurity. The food drive runs from now until October 31st.

Items needed: Canned vegetables and fruit, soups, tuna, cereals, rice, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter, large jelly jars, instant potatoes, spaghetti sauce & noodles, boxed stuffing mix, beef stews, dressing, cake mix, and ANY unexpired, nonperishable food item.

Please see the flyer below with more information on how to support this great cause.

Trunk or Treat:

Bodkin Families Our Mission Has Launched!

The 2025 Chesapeake Cluster Trunk or Treat Donation Alien has landed at school, and it’s hungry for snacks from galaxies near and far!

Bodkin has been assigned to bring: Pop-Tarts & Cereal

Drop your donations at school or the day of the trunk or treat event to help us feed the alien and make this Trunk or Treat out of this world!

The 2025 Chesapeake Cluster Trunk or Treat Event will be held at Chesapeake Bay Middle School on Saturday, October 25th from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Let’s show the cluster how generous Bodkin families can be!

School Store Fundraiser:

We are underway with our SchoolStore program that helps Bodkin raise money for teacher incentives and celebrations. Scan the QR code on the Book Buddy Lanyard that was sent home with your student to find out how the program works. Please read over the information describing how you can participate. Your student will earn a participation prize (an adorable animal arm band) when they return the filled-out Student Lanyard to school, and they can earn more great prizes when your family and friends help our school raise money. Please send the completed Book Buddy Lanyard back to school and thank you for your support!

Yearly Emergency Card Verification:

Each year parents/guardians are asked to verify their child's current information from the Student Information System. This is important because we need to have the most up-to-date contact information for you if there is an emergency at school. You will need your child's birthdate, student number, and the 5-digit pin number that was emailed to you previously. If you no longer have this pin number, please contact our secretaries at 410-437-0464. Access the Emergency Card Verification Report here.
