The technology service desk is aware of a known issue with forms on the PowerSchool Parent Portal Mobile App. Families will need to use the web-based version to submit Attendance Notes, School forms, etc. In some cases the phone and app seem to be working and in some cases it isn’t. As a result, the best option is using the web based version.
Families will also need to use the web-based version of the Parent Portal instead of the mobile app to approve the Course Verification Selection form.
The website for ordering school supplies for the 2025-2026 school year is now live and will remain so for the entire month of April and May. Kits will be shipped directly to your student’s home. The website to order is: www.shopttkits.com and our school code is: 87037.
Purchasing kits is completely voluntary and not mandatory for middle school. It’s simply a convenience that we like to provide for families.
Crossing guard hours on Davidsonville Road are 8:45am-9:15am in the mornings, and 3:55pm-4:15pm in the afternoons. Please remind your students that they should only be crossing this very busy road within those time frames. We want to ensure the safety of all students.
The Anne Arundel County Department of Health in partnership with the Center of Applied Technology North will host a mental health awareness family fun day on Saturday, May 10th, 10am-2pm. See flyer for details. (Spanish flyer and Korean flyer)
On Thursday, May 29th, our school will be hosting a Hoops for Heart fundraising event to support the American Heart Association. This event is to raise awareness to promote a healthy lifestyle and to support heart healthy activities. Through the end of May, families can use this link or the QR code below to make donations towards the Hoops for Heart Fundraiser. After the completion of the event, the students who donated will participate in an incentive or receive a reward. Our goal for this year is to raise $2,000.
As the weather starts to get warmer, please remember to review the dress code with your student. From page 23 of the 2024-2025 Student Handbook:
Students are Not Permitted to Wear:
Articles of clothing that promote drugs, alcohol, profanity, obscenity, violence, and symbols of hate;
Articles of clothing that promote gang colors, gang affiliation, gang initiation, or gang-related signs;
Clothing that shows bare skin between the upper chest and mid-thigh, including bare chest, back, or midriff, or underwear.
Students are to dress in clothes that promote a safe and respectful learning environment. Clothes that create a disruptive environment or cause a health or safety hazard, are not appropriate and not acceptable at school. School personnel will consistently and uniformly enforce this dress code.

School counselors share many resources with students. Students also learn about emergency/crisis resources during their marking period of Health each school year. We wanted to take a moment to share these resources with parents/guardians so that you have them as well.
