This is a reminder that when you are dropping off your student in the morning and entering property from 424, please pull up as far as you can to the orange cones before unloading. We have orange cones blocking our staff parking lot and cones blocking parking spots. Anywhere along that span of cones is a drop off area. To maximize the number of cars that can drop off, please pull up as far as you can until cars stop, then unload. For cars dropping off the other direction (coming from the high school), students must walk down to the cross walk and not cross traffic. Thanks.

As we get closer to the end of the marking period, please remind your students to catch up on assignments and work through re-dos with their teachers. Teachers are available Tuesday-Thursday to work with students during morning advisory. They must coordinate with their teachers.

Apply for Free or Reduced-Price Meals: Families must re-apply each year for free or reduced-price meals, unless notified through a letter. You can apply online by visiting https://applyformeals.aacps.org and get more details and information. You can apply anytime throughout the school year or reapply if there has been a change in your household.
Harvest for Hungry Event - Oct. 1st-Oct. 31st
We are looking for students to donate non-perishable foods or donate online. We will be taking donations from October 1st through October 31st. Please do not send cash to the school. Each Friday in October we will have a spirit day to highlight a specific theme. There will also be a special prize for the Advisory class who donates the most food and money. Extracurricular Clubs
CMS will host a variety of extracurricular clubs. Please see the Extracurricular Clubs & Activity Buses tab on the CMS website here for important information regarding club descriptions, requirements, meeting days and times, and club sponsor contact information, as well as activity bus information.
Extracurricular Clubs Car Pick Up
If you are picking up your student after extracurricular clubs end at 4:55pm, you may enter the bus lot to pick them up. However, you must park to the left of the crosswalk. If you are facing the front of the building, it is the part of the bus lot that is to the left of the main awning. Buses will be parked to the right of the crosswalk. Please remind your student not to just walk out and across the parking lot to load your vehicle. They should walk across the crosswalk and down to your car.
