FOUR SEASONS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL |
OUR MISSION Fostering a life long love of learning in a Safe and orderly environment with
Excellent teachers facilitating Students' active learning. |
| Dear Four Seasons Families,
Three weeks in, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the warm welcome, positive responses, and constant smiles I receive daily from the students, staff, and the community of Four Seasons Elementary School. It is an honor to serve as your new principal, and I look forward to working together to support our students in every aspect of their growth and learning.
Thank you to those that were able to attend the Coffee with the Principal events over the last few weeks. It was wonderful to begin building our relationships and to discuss aspects of our common goals for student success. Our Best Buddies group enjoyed a fun field trip to Dragonfly Acres where they had the opportunity to interact with farm animals while bonding with each other. Please be on the lookout for more opportunities to get involved with our Best Buddies program. Our STAIR program is also up and running. It is fun to see the students reading and working with their volunteers. As a reminder, our Mo Gaba themes for this month are hard working and accountable. We are on the lookout for students demonstrating these skills.
New this month! We have some fun challenges planned for students that are in school 95% or more of the days each week in the month of December! Students meeting this goal will be entered into a raffle to challenge a school staff member to a challenge. We know that being in school leads to higher emotional and academic growth. Also, we will host our first Winter Shop on December 15th-17th. We will need your help to make this event a success. Please see the information below. As we enter this holiday season, I want to send well-wishes to all of our families. May you enjoy making lasting memories with friends and family. I am grateful for the partnership we share with families and the wider community. Together, we can make Four Seasons a place where every child feels valued, connected, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. Warmly,
Kristin Addleman Principal, Four Seasons Elementary School |
School Safety
School safety was discussed at a few of the Coffee with the Principal Events. I wanted to add some information to help parents understand the many protocols we have in place to ensure student safety which is our number 1 priority every day.
We use the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) provided by the AACPS School Security Office to guide our safety procedures. In addition to practicing emergency procedures throughout the year, our school follows these important guidelines to keep students and staff safe: Exterior doors are always locked and accessible only with staff access cards.
Visitors must be buzzed into the main office and then buzzed out into the main hallway. All visitors must present identification, be entered into our system, and wear an identification sticker. AACPS staff are required to wear AACPS identification badges at all times.
Exterior and interior cameras are constantly monitored. Classroom doors remain closed during instruction. Staff walkie-talkies are used for communication throughout the building.
A designated walkie-talkie in the main office provides direct communication with the AACPS School Security Office. Staff are trained for drills and emergencies and share best practices after each drill. |
Winter Shop We are so excited to announce our very first Winter Shop at Four Seasons!
On December 15–17, students will have the opportunity to use their hard-earned Shark Bucks to purchase a small gift for a loved one. This is a fun way for students to practice generosity and celebrate the season! Here’s where we need your help!
To make this event successful, we’re asking families to consider purchasing bulk items from our Winter Shop Wish List. You can use the link provided to order items and have them shipped directly to the school by December 11 so we have time to set up and organize the shop.
Any items that are not purchased by students will be included in our Yard Sale in June. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Lydon, or Mrs. Ryan. Thank you for helping make this a memorable and fun event for our students! |

Important Health Room Reminders
Medication at School: If your child requires medication during school hours, both parent and doctor must complete the required medication forms. These forms are available online and in the health room. We cannot administer any medication without them. Please contact us by phone or email if you have questions.
Fever Policy: Children with a fever must stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without medication. If your child is sent home due to a fever, they must remain home the following day. Once they’ve had a full day fever-free without medication, they may return to school.
Sick Student Pickup: If your child is sick at school, please arrange for pickup within 30 minutes. If you’re unavailable, have a backup plan in place (e.g., grandparent, relative, neighbor). We appreciate your understanding, as space in the health room is limited. Vaccination Records: If your child receives any new vaccines, please send in an updated vaccination record so we can keep their health file current.
Change of Clothes: Please ensure your child has a season-appropriate change of clothes in their locker. Even older students may need a spare outfit in case of spills or accidents.

Maryland SUN Bucks helps families with school-aged children who receive free or reduced-price meals buy groceries during the summer break when school meals are unavailable. Many AACPS families are enrolled to receive these benefits but have not yet accessed them. SUN Bucks benefits will expire 122 days after issuance, which means that June benefits will begin expiring in October. If you have specific questions, please contact the Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) office at 1-800-332-6347 and select the SUN Bucks option.

Federal Impact Program Survey |
Parents who are active military or who live or work on federal property in Maryland are asked to complete this year’s Federal Impact Aid Survey when it becomes available on September 30, 2025.
You will be asked to verify your home address and identify if it is located on federal property. You will also complete sections identifying if a family member is in the military or works on federally owned property in Maryland. The survey should only take a couple of minutes to complete. Please be assured that all data collected is kept completely confidential. Why Complete This Survey
Anne Arundel County Public Schools, like many local school districts across the United States, include within our boundaries parcels of land that are owned by the federal government or that have been removed from the local tax rolls by the federal government. Federal property is exempt from local property taxes. By submitting an application to the Department of Education each January, AACPS receives approximately $2 million to assist in educating all our students.

Online School Payments (OSP) |
Four Seasons offers a convenient way to pay for school items electronically. It’s called Online School Payments (OSP) and will allow families to pay by credit card for things such as field trips and lost media books. We also have options to allow you to donate to support special activities for students or to donate to allow the principal to “treat” our staff. Please note that there is a small service charge for using the OSP system. Cash and checks made payable to Four Seasons Elementary School are always accepted for student fees with no service fee. If you have any questions regarding the OSP system, please contact Erika Allen at eallen@aacps.org or
410-222-6501. To access OSP, please click on this link: Four Seasons OSP.
