Principal’s Message

Happy New Year Four Seasons Families,

We hope you had a safe and enjoyable break! There are so many things to look forward to in January!

But first, congratulations to all our performers for creating fun and beautiful music at our winter concerts before break! You did a wonderful job! It took a lot of hard work and perseverance. We look forward to hearing you again in the spring!

Thank you to our wonderful PTA for the snack carts for the staff the last week before winter break! It was such a delicious treat and so appreciated!

As the new year begins, we will be working hard to help students get back into routines and work hard in all classes. Helping us do this are 2 new Four Seasons Shark staff members. Please welcome Ms. Kuhblank to our Early Childhood Special Education program and Mr. Thompson as our new Triple E STEM teacher. We are very excited to have these wonderful additions.

The end of the second quarter is January 15th. As we are wrapping up, please be sure to check in on your student’s assignments and grades in Canvas and complete any redo’s according to the quarterly deadlines. If you have any questions about this, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

Starting on January 16th, our new Mo Gaba trait we will focus on for the third quarter is Being Respectful. Please help us reinforce what this means and how it looks inside and outside of the school building.

We are looking very forward to this new year and all that we can accomplish!

Warmly,

Kristin Addleman

Notes from the Nurse...

Important Health Room Reminders

  • Medication at School: If your child requires medication during school hours, both parent and doctor must complete the required medication forms. These forms are available online and in the health room. We cannot administer any medication without them. Please contact us by phone or email if you have questions.

  • Fever Policy: Children with a fever must stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without medication. If your child is sent home due to a fever, they must remain home the following day. Once they’ve had a full day fever-free without medication, they may return to school.

  • Sick Student Pickup: If your child is sick at school, please arrange for pickup within 30 minutes. If you’re unavailable, have a backup plan in place (e.g., grandparent, relative, neighbor). We appreciate your understanding, as space in the health room is limited.

  • Vaccination Records: If your child receives any new vaccines, please send in an updated vaccination record so we can keep their health file current.

  • Change of Clothes: Please ensure your child has a season-appropriate change of clothes in their locker. Even older students may need a spare outfit in case of spills or accidents.

Maryland SUN Bucks

Maryland SUN Bucks helps families with school-aged children who receive free or reduced-price meals buy groceries during the summer break when school meals are unavailable. Many AACPS families are enrolled to receive these benefits but have not yet accessed them. SUN Bucks benefits will expire 122 days after issuance, which means that June benefits will begin expiring in October. If you have specific questions, please contact the Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) office at 1-800-332-6347 and select the SUN Bucks option.

Federal Impact Program Survey

Parents who are active military or who live or work on federal property in Maryland are asked to complete this year’s Federal Impact Aid Survey when it becomes available on September 30, 2025.

You will be asked to verify your home address and identify if it is located on federal property. You will also complete sections identifying if a family member is in the military or works on federally owned property in Maryland. The survey should only take a couple of minutes to complete. Please be assured that all data collected is kept completely confidential.

Why Complete This Survey

Anne Arundel County Public Schools, like many local school districts across the United States, include within our boundaries parcels of land that are owned by the federal government or that have been removed from the local tax rolls by the federal government.

Federal property is exempt from local property taxes. By submitting an application to the Department of Education each January, AACPS receives approximately $2 million to assist in educating all our students.

Four Seasons offers a convenient way to pay for school items electronically. It’s called Online School Payments (OSP) and will allow families to pay by credit card for things such as field trips and lost media books. We also have options to allow you to donate to support special activities for students or to donate to allow the principal to “treat” our staff. Please note that there is a small service charge for using the OSP system. Cash and checks made payable to Four Seasons Elementary School are always accepted for student fees with no service fee.
