Principal’s Message
While lots of things happen every day, know that our focus is on safety, and providing quality instruction for our students. I sincerely appreciate the hard work and effort this year. We have amazing teachers that make magic happen each day! Shout out to the families - we have such a great community! Thank you for volunteering to help at PTA events. Our PTA has hosted wonderful events this year!
Thank you to all the students that participated in the MLK Oratorical events. We have such amazing talent at Four Seasons Elementary! Thank you to the PTA for the Discovery Theater assembly. We’ll have another assembly in March! Additionally, we will celebrate Pi day with our annual pie event. We’d also like to thank The Christ Child Society of Annapolis, an Ecumenical non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, for donating The Great Kapok Tree book and sketch pad for every third grader!
It is almost that time of year for standardized testing in grades 3-5! The assessment monitors mastery of grade level common core standards. Additionally, students are compared to others in the state with similar scores. Maryland Science (MISA) for grade 5 will be tested on March 10th and 11th in the morning.

As a reminder, please do not park in the bus loop for any reason at any time, during the school day, during after school events, or on weekends. This is for safety reasons. If there were a fire, fire trucks and emergency vehicles need quick and easy access to the building!

If your child wants to buy an extra milk (55 cents), juice (50 cents), or bottle of water ($1) when they go through the cafeteria line, there has to be money in their general account. You can either send in a check made out to "Four Seasons Elementary School" with your child's student identification number (SIF) and "general account" in the memo line, or add money to your MyPaymentsPlus account and specify "general account."
Recommendation from AACPS - if you would like your child to purchase meals only, deposit funds in the meal account. If you would like your child to purchase meals plus additional items, deposit funds in the general account only.

Notes from the Nurse...
Greetings from the Health Room!
Just a few reminders:
Please keep your child home if they are sick. If your child has a fever of 100 degrees F or greater, they must stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.
Please provide a seasonally appropriate change of clothes for your child to keep at school. This is helpful for all ages because mud and spills happen!
Please be on the lookout for a reminder notice for those students who still need a completed Record of Physical Examination and Blood Lead Testing Certificate. Both forms are required when enrolling your child in school. You will only receive notice if we do not have a physical form and/or blood lead results on file.
The Record of Physical Examination has two sides: one for the parent/guardian to complete and one for the physician to complete. Both sides are required. The information from your child’s most recent annual exam is accepted - no need to make a new appointment.
The blood lead form is to be signed by your child’s physician. Please return all completed forms to the health room.

March Reading Incentives
We’re excited to offer double-reading incentives for March! Please select the one that motivates your child the most, or feel free to choose both!
Books and Bundts Reading Incentive: When your child reads up to 400 minutes, bring their reading tracker to Nothing Bundt Cakes in the Waugh Chapel shopping center to receive a free Bundt cake. This is a delicious reward for their hard work! We have non-food prize bags at school too. Just turn your tracker in to your teacher.
Chesapeake Baysox Reading Incentive: Your child can earn 2 free tickets to the Chesapeake Baysox game on Saturday, May 17th (fireworks night) by completing the Chesapeake Baysox reading tracker and reading 4 books, whether in school or at home.

Online School Payments (OSP)
Four Seasons offers a convenient way to pay for school items electronically. It’s called Online School Payments (OSP) and will allow families to pay by credit card for things such as field trips and lost media books. We also have options to allow you to donate to support special activities for students or to donate to allow the principal to “treat” our staff. Please note that there is a small service charge for using the OSP system. Cash and checks made payable to Four Seasons Elementary School are always accepted for student fees with no service fee. Notice: Four Seasons Elementary School is equipped with a video camera system. It covers selected interior and exterior public portions of the building and grounds. It is not monitored constantly, but it is monitored during emergency situations. During certain events, when the safety or security of students may be in question, authorized personnel from local, state or federal police or fire emergency units may be given access to view images projected on the camera system.
