PBIS Updates:
What is PBIS?
PBIS is a proactive approach we are implementing to improve school safety and promote positive behavior.
At its core, PBIS focuses on teaching students about appropriate behaviors and supporting them in making good choices. Rather than waiting for misbehavior to occur and then responding to it, PBIS emphasizes the importance of prevention. Our goal is to create a positive school environment where all students feel safe, respected, and ready to learn.
Here’s how PBIS works:
Clear Expectations: We establish clear, consistent expectations for behavior in all areas of the school.
Teaching and Modeling: Students are taught these expectations and see them modeled by staff.
Positive Reinforcement: Good behavior is acknowledged and rewarded, helping to encourage more of it.
Support Systems: For students who need extra help, we provide targeted interventions to guide them toward better behavior.
We believe that by fostering a positive school culture through PBIS, we can enhance academic and social outcomes for all students. Your support and involvement are crucial to the success of this initiative. If you have any questions or would like more information about PBIS, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your continued support!
