Principal's Message

Dear Marley Families,

I can't believe that we are entering the month of March already. That means that Spring is right around the corner. Each day, Mr. McCoy and I are amazed by the performance levels of our Marley Mustangs. This past month we have been learning what it means to "productively struggle" through some math problems, when they require multiple steps and reasoning skills. Students have had opportunities to collaborate with each other, and engage in high levels of discourse as they explain their thinking to both students and teachers. In literacy, students have been using their reading skills while learning information about the world around us.

As we begin to prepare for the 2025-2026 school year, we are seeking parent input and parent involvement to support students' overall social, emotional and academic achievement. This Friday, March 7th come to the Parent Advisory Council Meeting to find out more information about how you can contribute to the Marley Community. (see flyer below) Can't make it this week, look for more information coming soon about additional opportunities. We are seeking parents, caretakers and community partners as stakeholders during the upcoming school improvement process.

AACPS Student Device Loaner Program

Registration for the AACPS Student Device Loaner Program, which provides a device to students that need a device to support learning at home, is now available. If approved for participation in the program, students will be assigned a Chromebook that will need to be transported back and forth between home and school as it will be used by the student throughout the school day. Complete information about the program can be found at www.aacps.org/deviceloanerprogram.
