Wow! It is hard to believe we have completed the first marking period of the 2024-2025 school year. Thank you to staff and families for supporting students in the first marking period. Students are making positive relationships with staff and peers and making progress towards our instructional goals.
AACPS will be closed for students on November 25th and 26th for Parent Teacher Conferences. Virtual conferences are available to all families. If an In-person conference is needed, it will be held on Monday (November 25th) only. Please be on the lookout for an invitation letter from your child's teacher to sign up for a time to meet. We encourage all families to regularly check grades on Parent Portal, stay connected with their child’s teacher, and ask questions to support our students in reaching their academic and social goals.
We would like to thank all the families that came to school for our PTA Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat. It was a wonderful evening for making connections and having fun as a school community. Thank you to our PTA for hosting the costume party and games for families who attended this event.
As we experience cooler weather, please remind your students to bring home hats, gloves, jackets, etc. as our Lost and Found continues to grow. Students are encouraged to check the Lost and Found for missing items. Please make sure your child's name is on all items.
Congratulations to the classes who won our October Attendance Challenge. These students were rewarded with extra recess. Please discuss with your child how their class celebrates school attendance. We will host our next attendance challenge during the month of December. Be on the lookout for information about our December to Remember Attendance Challenge!
