National Assistant Principals Week |
|
|
|
This week (4/6–4/10), we celebrate the incredible leaders who often work behind the scenes to keep our schools thriving. Assistant Principals are the backbone of our education system—supporting teachers, inspiring students,
assisting principals, fostering a positive school culture, and handling the countless challenges that come their way with dedication and grace. Their impact is immeasurable, and this week is our
opportunity to recognize their hard work, leadership, and commitment to education. Here at Windsor Farm
Elementary, we are fortunate to have one of the very best— Mrs. McCalpin! Please join us in celebrating her and all she does for the Windsor Farm community! |

Spring is a wonderful time for new beginnings, and we are excited to invite our families to participate in our “Spring into Reading” Guest Reader Series as we finish out the school year. We will host three special Guest Reader days on April 27, May 8, and June 9, and we would love for you to be a part of this meaningful experience in your child’s classroom.
Guest Readers will have the opportunity to visit the classroom and share a favorite children’s book—ideally with a spring theme—with our students. Hearing stories read by parents, grandparents, and other family members helps children see that reading is joyful, meaningful, and something we share as a community. Your participation helps spark curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of literacy.
Guest reading sessions will take place during students’ science/social studies block (times listed in sign-ups below). You are welcome to bring a favorite book from home, or you may choose one from our collection. A basket of popular children’s books will be available in the main office for guest readers to check out if needed.
If you would like to participate, please sign up using one of the links below. When signing up, please include the guest reader’s name in the comments so we know who to expect. We hope to include as many family voices as possible as we celebrate reading this spring!
Thank you for supporting our young readers and helping make literacy a joyful part of every day.
