Emergency Drill Completed Today |
As part of our ongoing commitment to student and staff safety, Windsor Farm conducted a schoolwide emergency drill today. This drill is required by AACPS and follows guidance from the Maryland State Department of Education and the Code of Maryland Regulations, which call for annual emergency drills in all schools.
Today’s drill focused on our Lockdown procedure. Everyone in the building participated—students, staff, and visitors. Please know that the drill was calm, brief, and conducted in a way that did not include language or actions suggesting real violence. Students and staff quickly returned to their normal routines.
We are proud of how well our school community responded and appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and secure learning environment.

"It’s SNOW secret we are great readers!" Collaborative Bulletin Board |
|
|
As we approach the winter season, we are excited to create a collage of pictures showcasing our students as readers with a winter twist! We are asking parents to send a photo of their child reading while wearing a winter-themed outfit, using a festive background, or incorporating fun seasonal props. Think Santa hats, reindeer antlers, snowman attire, sipping hot cocoa, being photoshopped into a snowy scene, wearing mittens, or any creative idea of your own! The only requirement is that the picture must include a book. Pets and other family members are welcome to join in the fun. You may send a printed copy of the photo or email it to Mrs. Weakley at clweakley@aacps.org. We are asking for photos by December 12th, but we will continue to accept submissions throughout December and January to add to the display. Thank you for your collaboration on this fun schoolwide project! |

Attendance Competition
It is the last week of the AACPS Attendance Competition for the month of December! Keep on helping Windsor Farm be highlighted as a top-tier Attendance School by sending your child to school each day this last week of 2025!
There will be individual, classroom, and school-wide recognitions! Let's Go Eagles! |
|
|

We are proud to announce that Windsor Farm Elementary has nominated Caroline C. for the prestigious Carson Scholar Award! This honor recognizes students who exemplify academic excellence and a deep commitment to serving others.
Carson Scholars are leaders in and out of the classroom—students who not only achieve outstanding academic success but also demonstrate strong character and a passion for making a positive impact in their communities.
Caroline’s dedication to learning and her willingness to help others make her an outstanding representative of these values. In school, she serves as a student ambassador and is involved in dance, strings, and the school play. Outside of school, she participates in a variety of service projects that support families and community programs. We are thrilled to celebrate her nomination and the example she sets for all of us at Windsor Farm!
