Attendance HERO Class of the Week
For the week of 1/22 - 1/24!
Mrs. Sayres' Class!
Congratulations for having 99% attendance for the week!
Here, Everyday, Ready to learn, On time
A Note from Mrs. Humphrey & Mrs. Bakke-
All Windsor Farm students will participate in a Cardio Drumming unit this week during their scheduled PE and Music classes. Students will collaborate, compose and perform the rhythmic sounds of motion.
Please have your student wear appropriate clothes and shoes for this program for both scheduled classes.
Thank you.
As you are aware, Anne Arundel County Public Schools has used all three inclement weather days built into the 2024-25 calendar. The intent is to switch any future closings necessitated by inclement weather to virtual instruction days so an extension to the school year can be avoided.
If your student does not have access to a device at home for virtual instruction, we encourage you to utilize our loaner device program to obtain one. Loaner devices are available free of charge to students who need them. Information on obtaining a loaner device can be found at www.aacps.org/deviceloanerprogram.
Welcome Back
Mrs. Roskam
Mrs. Roskam returns to her kindergarten classroom this week after being home caring for her new baby boy.
A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Kirn who covered the classroom responsibilities while Mrs. Roskam was on her maternity leave. Mrs. Kirn did a wonderful job teaching our young group of learners and continued to provide them with a positive kindergarten experience.
We are in the planning stage of hosting another season of the Hero Boys Run Club.
Boys grow up with the imagery of Superheroes racing around in their minds. They connect with them, they pretend to be them, and as they imagine their future, they believe they can BE a Superhero. Perhaps boys can all become Superheroes, in their own way. Boys connect to superheroes because they identify with positive male role models, heroes who display courage in standing for something positive while helping others. This hero spirit should live with boys forever, never to be lost! HERO Boys™ learn to run, learn to challenge themselves and set goals, learn to discover the talents and strengths existing inside of them that make them unique,
and learn to lead, set the example, and help others. To be able to offer this club to our students, we are looking for 1 more coach/volunteer who would be willing to support this afterschool club one day per week (Fridays) for eight weeks. We have already secured a lead-coach who is familiar with the program and curriculum.
Hero Boys is an eight-week program which finishes with a celebratory run in a local 5K race (Escape the Cape - April 5th). To learn more about the program, click here. Once we have our coaches in place, we will begin registering students and seeking male role models to be guest speakers at our weekly club meetings. Please reach out to Mr. Kling with any questions or to express your interest in volunteering - epkling@aacps.org.
