Reminders & Notes of Interest

Teacher Appreciation Week

On behalf of the entire Windsor Farm faculty and staff, we want to extend our deepest thanks to our amazing families for making Teacher Appreciation Week so special.

From the thoughtful notes and generous donations to the delicious treats and kind gestures, we felt truly celebrated and supported. Your outpouring of appreciation reminds us why our Windsor Farm community is so exceptional.

Thank you for partnering with us and for recognizing the work we do each day to support and uplift your children. We are so grateful for your continued kindness and encouragement!

MCAP Testing

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders have just two more days of MCAP testing! They are doing a great job showing perseverance, focus, and a positive attitude throughout the process. Testing for these grade levels will continue on Monday and Tuesday. Thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child gets plenty of rest, eats a good breakfast, and arrives on time each day.

Spirit Night at Rita's Italian Ice

Join us for a sweet treat and some school spirit at Rita’s in Cape St. Claire on Tuesday from 4:00–9:00 PM!

Windsor Farm teachers will be behind the counter scooping your favorite frozen treats, so be sure to stop by, say hello, and support our school. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit Windsor Farm PTO!

Thank you for your support!

Baysox “Read and Hit a Homerun” Night
Friday, May 16 @ 7:05 PM

If your child participated in the Chesapeake Baysox Read and Hit a Homerun reading incentive program, their game tickets will be sent home soon. We’re excited to cheer on the Baysox as they take on the Akron RubberDucks this Friday at 7:05 PM!

This will be a fun night for Windsor Farm families to celebrate reading and enjoy a night at the ballpark together. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Blue Angel Jet

The Blue Angels are making their yearly return to Annapolis for the Naval Academy’s Commissioning Week performance. To help expedite any early dismissals and track attendance, we will again be asking families to share any Blue Angel Day plans they may have for the main performance day – Wednesday, May 21st – via a Google Form-https://forms.gle/SEdf4LLu6fFXyB8V7.

The form will be available through 1:00pm on Tuesday, May 20th.

Families who wish to apply for their student to attend an AACPS prekindergarten program in the 2025-2026 school year may do so online at www.aacps.org/earlychildhood.

Exciting News for Windsor Farm!
We’re thrilled to share that we’ll be adding a second Pre-K classroom for the 2025–2026 school year! This expansion means we will now have 40 available Pre-K seats, allowing even more young learners to get a strong start in their educational journey here at Windsor Farm Elementary.

Kids Singing

A Special Invitation from Mrs. Humphrey!

We’re excited to invite our former chorus students to return and join us for the finale of our spring concert—"Summertime, Please Come Soon!"—on Tuesday, May 20 at Windsor Farm Elementary. Call time is 6:00 PM, and the concert begins at 6:30 PM.

It would mean so much to sing alongside our former chorus members again—you’d not only help make the performance extra special, but also serve as an inspiration to our younger chorus students.

If you’d like to join us, please fill out the form linked below. The form includes the music and choreography so you can practice ahead of time: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfnKBBZmhiY1mgRVzb8YgkBiDqkFOM1of2I1uq3nuIFBsEncA/viewform?usp=sharing

We can’t wait to see you and make music together again!

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration opened on April 8th for the upcoming school year! If you or someone you know has a child who will be starting kindergarten at Windsor Farm Elementary in the fall, we encourage you to register as soon as the window opens.

Early registration helps us plan and staff our kindergarten program effectively—and ensures you receive all important communications and updates.
