Here, Everyday, Ready to learn, On time

We are excited to kick off our March Madness Attendance Challenge on Monday! Throughout the month, classes will face off in head‑to‑head matchups as they move through our school-wide bracket. Each week, the winning classes will earn a special classroom reward, continuing all the way until one class is crowned our overall Attendance Champion.

Thank you for helping us promote strong attendance and school spirit.
Let the March Madness fun begin!

Reminders & Notes of Interest

National School Breakfast Week

National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) celebrates the important role a nutritious school breakfast plays in helping students start their day ready to learn, grow, and succeed. Observed each year during the first full week of March, NSBW shines a spotlight on the School Breakfast Program and the dedicated school nutrition professionals, like Ms. Stone and Mrs. Veno, who fuel our students every morning.

Did you know that Windsor Farm serves breakfast daily from7:40–8:00 AM?
Start the day off right with a nutritious meal!

MISA Testing

Our 5th grade students will be taking the Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA) this week. MISA measures students’ progress toward scientific literacy and is part of the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP), our annual state testing.
At Windsor Farm, MISA testing is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. If a student is absent on a testing day, we will schedule a make‑up session to ensure all students complete this required assessment.
Testing will begin promptly at 8:15 AM each day, except Monday, when testing will begin at 12:45 PM. Please help your child arrive to school on time so they can participate during the primary testing block.

Thank you for your continued support!

Thank you Mrs. Peterson

This Friday will be Mrs. Peterson’s final day at Windsor Farm as she begins her well‑earned retirement. Mrs. Peterson has been a dedicated teaching assistant in our Special Education department, and we are deeply grateful for her many years of support to our students, staff, and the special education team. Her commitment, kindness, and steady presence have made a lasting impact on our school community, and she will be greatly missed.

Please join us in thanking Mrs. Peterson for her remarkable service and in wishing her all the best in this next chapter.

We are also pleased to welcome Mrs. Alison Chilcote, who will be joining us as her replacement. We look forward to the experience, care, and enthusiasm she will bring to our students and to the Windsor Farm team.

Save the Date

We are excited to announce our upcoming Grandparents & Grandfriends Day at Windsor Farm! This special event is one of our favorite traditions, giving students the chance to celebrate the important people who support, encourage, and cheer them on.

New this year: For students whose grandparents or grandfriends are unable to attend, we are offering a special opportunity. Families may invite a grandparent or grandfriend to write a letter to their child, which will be delivered during the event. This is a wonderful way for loved ones to be part of the celebration, no matter the distance.

More details about the event schedule and letter submission will be shared soon.
