All 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students recently participated in the mCLASS with DIBELS 8th Edition early literacy assessment. This assessment helps us identify students who may benefit from additional support in foundational reading skills such as phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency. If your child has been identified for supplemental instruction, they will receive targeted support through mCLASS Instruction while continuing with their grade-level curriculum. Please review the letter and attached report which was sent home with all 1st-3rd grade students for more details, and visit the AACPS Elementary Reading/Integrated Literacy page for additional resources. Please reach out to Mrs. Weakley, our literacy specialist, with any questions - clweakley@aacps.org.

Attention 5th Grade Families:

5th grade students will be taking the Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA), which measures their progress toward scientific literacy. This assessment is part of the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP), our annual state testing.

At Windsor Farm, MISA testing is scheduled for Thursday and Friday. If a student is absent on either day, make-up sessions will be arranged to ensure all students complete this required assessment.

Testing begins promptly at 8:15 AM each day. Please make sure your child arrives at school on time so they can participate during the primary testing blocks.

Thank you for your support!

Carolina Jacobo, our bilingual facilitator, is hosting a four-part computer course designed for our Spanish-speaking families. This series will equip participants with essential technology skills, starting from the basics, while also empowering them to support their children’s education more effectively.

AACPS is partnering with the Anne Arundel County Health Department to explore the potential benefits of a School-Based Health Center in Anne Arundel County. To help guide this initiative, a joint workgroup is gathering input from key stakeholders, including parents, staff, students, and community members. Your feedback is essential in assessing the need and impact of this program. Please take a moment to complete the survey and share your thoughts.
