This week, schools across the nation are celebrating National School Psychology Week to highlight the critical work school psychologists do to help students thrive. Thank you to our school psychologist, Dr. Howlett, for supporting our students' learning, their mental & behavioral health, for promoting a positive and inclusive school climate, for serving on our school safety and crisis teams, and for collaborating with our families, teachers, and administrators to improve student outcomes.
Veterans Day- A celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
At Windsor Farm, we would like to recognize all of our veterans by highlighting their contributions to our country on our Windsor Farm Elementary Wall of Honor which will be unveiled on November 11th. Students are invited to complete a "brick" for the special veterans in their lives to include on our wall. A paper copy was sent home but may also be accessed digitally here. All bricks are due back to school by Friday, November 8.
November 18-22

PBIS
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. There are three main components of PBIS. They are: teaching appropriate behavior in all settings, providing interventions when behavior expectations are not met, and recognizing students when behavior expectations are met. The focus of this program is acknowledging and rewarding students for consistent positive behavior.
At Windsor Farm Elementary,
we focus on our 3 R's:
Respect ~ Responsibility ~ Readiness
Students enjoyed their first PBIS Celebration this past week. Check out some of the fun we had celebrating all who displayed the 3-R behaviors during the First Marking Period.

FEDERAL IMPACT PROGRAM SURVEY
Parents who are active military or who live or work on Federal Property in Maryland are asked to complete this year’s Federal Impact Aid Survey that became available on September 30, 2024. You will be asked to verify your home address and identify if it is located on federal property. You will also complete sections identifying if a family member is in the military or works on federally owned property in Maryland. The survey should only take a couple of minutes to complete and, be assured, all data collected is kept completely confidential.
Why Complete This Survey
Anne Arundel County Public Schools, like many local school districts across the United States, include within our boundaries parcels of land that are owned by the Federal Government or that have been removed from the local tax rolls by the Federal Government. Federal property is exempt from local property taxes. By submitting an application to the Department of Education each January, AACPS receives approximately $2 million to assist in educating all our students.
